Re: [NFL] Week 5 Games Discussion

said by I AM:

Do we dare question Kolb's toughness now? Dude got beat up last night pretty bad.

We all know they gave Sanchez that money because he was mad they went after Manning. For the Tebow experiment to work you need an ownership that is willing to go all in and build around him. But that's mighty risky.

I was watching the game at a bar with my friends last night so I couldn't hear the announcers but it seemed to us like Kolb got a concussion on that shot to the chin. He looked drunk on the sidelines and seemed to be having trouble finding receivers for the next couple of quarters. Also looked like he recovered a bit in the fourth quarter. Did anyone else notice that?

You guys are off base thinking Tebow is going to become a pastor. That dude is headed for Congress.

Umm...that's just the usual Kolb not being able to find receivers. Than somehow getting lucky in the 4th.

First time this Season I've watched a Rams and Cardinals game.
The Rams D was dominant, completely shutting the Arizona Cardinals down for much of the second and third quarters. The Rams were able to overwhelm the Cardinals O-line with a four-man rush for most of the game.
Robert Quinn was a beast in this game. Kevin Kolb will probably see Robert Quinn in his nightmares.
Bradford was awful, plain and simple. He only completed seven passes in the game.
Greg Zuerlein continues to be the Rams' chief weapon. Zuerlein is in range from anywhere in the St Louis area. Its a good thing cause the Rams usually fizzle in the red zone.
In summary two great defenses, probably going nowhere without a better offense.

Don't laugh. He's already hinted that he may go for a career in politics when he retires from football. He's a hero to most of the state of Florida. There's nothing in his personal life that anyone can demonize him for. He's a tailor-made congressman.

He has a winning record as a starter for now. The losts this year by the Jets don't count towards him as he wasn't the starter.

Also what's with all thes Sanchez quotes about him not being scared or threatened. You only say things like that when you are scared or threatened.

Ok, you win. If he runs for Congress I'll vote for him.
If he runs for a QB in the NFL, I'll vote for the other guy.

Yeah, when you guys throw those high sweeping kicks, we just kick you in the groin, and when you bend over in pain, *then* we kick you in the head.
Ok, enough about this. We're WAY OT here.
Everything is cool, I AM. Back to Football.

ALRIGHT...How is that you guys have not been able to get a half decent running back? I think it is time Rex Ryang goes.

Looks like Stephen Jackson will be available. Trade Tebow?

Jackson available ?

Jackson is a company man. I don't think he will be leaving St. Louis.

Just read the Sport's Guys picks this week. Good point he made on the Jets.

4. The Jets host Indy in Week 6, then play in New England, then host Miami. Let's say they're 3-4 heading into the bye. From there: at Seattle (Tebow!), at St. Louis (TEBOW!), home on Thursday for New England (TEBOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Suddenly they're 6-4 and we just had the "Tebow turned everything around!" montage. From there: home for Arizona, at Jacksonville, at Tennessee, home for San Diego, at Buffalo. See any tough ones on that schedule? Me neither. Just start emotionally preparing yourself now. I'm telling you.

Their schedule seems a bit soft, especially the second half of the season.
I think they could still win 8 or 9 games if they get out of the funk that they're in, even without Holmes and Revis.

You think Jets are going to beat Seattle at home in Seattle? No way. That defense will literally kill Sanchez. They almost did that to Rodgers. Arizona will be a tough game. Maybe, and nothing is sure in the NFL, they can beat Jacksonville.

Can no one on the Giants defense stop Richardson?

Also, Go Steelers!

Giants come back nicely. After 5 minutes they're down by 14. At halftime, they're up by 10.

Very ugly Field Goal attempt at the end there by the Packers.

But screw the Packers, so it's all good.

This almost non-stop no huddle stuff by Brady and Manning is pretty amazing...blazing fast game. (And soon to be very tired D's).

Oh, and how 'bout them Giants.

I hear you...I wouldn't mind having him at all with the Jets. I just *hate* it when the Pats win.
It was getting pretty exciting down near the end there. (Especially when I was sure it was already out of touch)
Oh well...the Giants won.
(Now, I think I'll sleep tomorrow when MNF is on).

Doesn't everybody hate it when the Pats win?

I assumed the Giants would win, but that first 5 minutes (Browns up 14-0) had me wondering what was going on. Then the Giants woke up and played like they should. Bradshaw with 200 yards rushing was good to see. Cruz with 3 receiving TDs was good. Giants RB Brown with a head injury is bad.

I want to watch the Jets play tomorrow night, but I don't want to watch them lose. Not a lot of options in that scenario, huh?
