That's the mouse I use at home. At work I brought in my old Logitech G5. The main reason is that I can turn up the movement speed to make switching screens a breeze. My arm would hurt after work with a standard mouse due to the distances I would have to move the mose going from screen to screen all day.

I often need to rewind and pause the lecture will taking notes. Do you think I can code a macro to control VLC even with the VLC window minimized? Maybe using the programmable mouse keys in conjunction with VLC's global hot key shortcuts?

I found logitech mouses with zoom, browser back & forward buttons, side scroll for application...but no one mouse with all of these features.
I thought that maybe I could just find a good gaming mouse with a ton of buttons and then some how write macros to enable all of that functionality. Does this sound feasible? And if so, which mouse would you recommend?

Thanks for the help! Hopefully I can find a set up that saves me a lot of time.
