Re: Charter headquarters moving to Connecticut

said by slcpd6469:

Just another blow to the St. Louis' economy. It was only a matter of time since all the upper management moved to NYC.

May not be that bad if they stick to what they are saying as of now. Sounds like most departments are getting left behind in STL.

Yep. Only about 200 are losing their jobs out of 1700 (I forgot the exact number).

Do you know does that 1700 include the regional support center as well that is in Town and Country?. I'd imagine it does, just wondering how big the corporate office is at 270/Manchester compared to the regional support center off 141.

I don't know. I thought I heard the support center would be unaffected so I guess the only people leaving are at the 270/Manchester building. My nephew works there. I should call and ask him what he knows.

I'm going to bet that Edward Jones grabs that up.

Only 200, that must be comforting to those that are on the cut list. Especially since the CFO is getting 760,000 to ease the burden of moving costs comng out of his overloaded pocketbook

That line between the haves and the have not. Those above the line get money to move. Those below get left behind with nothing.

As it turns out, only 100 are losing their jobs and the number of local employees is 2700, not the 1700 I originally said.
