For example, if on sunday you have a late game picked, and the early games are already started, you can switch to another late game, or the monday game, but you can't switch to one of the early games or the thursday game.

This suggestion isn't bad. With one exception. Let's just declare Edge the winner in this one. (The other poll would be over). Since he at least picked a different team, he deserves the win.

I would suggest changing that a little. If the final two players pick the same team, that pick is discarded and both players choose again. Repeat until they have different teams. Discarded picks cannot be chosen again in the current week, but don't count against disallowed teams in future weeks.
