While we're one of the few areas not under the frost warning, tonight was the first night of the year that I could see my breath when I went outside.

And yes, I was wearing shorts.

Likewise. No frost warning here, but it feels cold and I can see my breath. I expect frost tonight.

3C outside here right now and it's only 11PM. You're probably right.

For what it's worth, next weekend is supposed to be back up into the 20s.

Gonna put the snow tires on early (as in tomorrow) on one car.

Yesterday was a bright, sunny, crisp day at the cottage. We did plant all the bulbs the day before in the crappy weather. I also took down a tree with an axe and split all the wood with the same. I was so manly am sure my wife's ovaries were spitting eggs

It was not that big of tree.

We came home yesterday it was blah down here. Cloudy, off and on rain. As always it was nicer in Muskoka.

I don't think we are at sustainable temps yet for that but if you have numerous vehicles like I do I guess it's best to get one in snows early.

Mrs. DKS's car is her office. She travels in snow country. Best to be safe than get hooked in the rush in late October/early November.

Two of our vehicles run the cottage and rural roads but the tire change is 20 minutes in the driveway so no rush.

Oh?

You guys might be chilly up there, but it's not going to be down here. Is supposed to be in the low teens throughout the week, though.

I expect with how warm the lake is right now that the lake machine down in these parts could be fierce this year.

I just finished the last piece on the cold air return after removing most of the duct work this summer. Then last night someone snick down and turned on the heat. Time to disable the thermostat.

Didn't drop below freezing here last night. According to EC, it stayed as warm as 7C in St. Catharines but my own observations here in Fort Erie were cooler.

We had no frost, either. Was surprised by that.

Like I said though, the end of the weeekend is supposed to warm up. WIVB's forecast is pretty much the same.

No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake.......

Toronto is going to be above 10 most of the week. As long as it's sunny I can tear down the garden.

Went out to Sauble to shut off the water at the cottage and then came home to clean up the garden. Gorgeous day here. Colours were outstanding and temps were 10C. Mind you, the wind off the water at Sauble was miserable.
