Re: unable to reach hosted mail/websites from uverse

I have had two times I could think of that we had issues getting to sites.

Booth times the problems were either the other site, one changed their DNS entry and the other was hosted by Godaddy during their outtage which drove me nuts.

I can ping that site and it comes back just fine. Did you try from anywhere else, or any proxies to see if the site is accessible?

Thanks for the reply...
I was able to connect (ping, http, etc) with no trouble from my own work and home connections (Verizon FIOS at home), but my parents got nowhere from their uverse connection at home. Some offline help from another forum member who also has uverse @ home, and he couldn't connect either. Connections to jumpline.com were ok, as were connections to one IP higher and one lower from the host's (both owned by jumpline as well). But no luck with the server my account sits on.

After pushing back at Uverse tier2 support a little, they finally found and acknowledged that AT&T was blocking my shared host's IP due to "malicious activity". Anyway, Jumpline and ATT are hopefully working it all out now...
