Re: Rebuild Time Is Upon Me Do you still have to call Microsoft if you upgrade more than 3 components? I had to do that with XP a few years ago and after the run around I ended up with a $20 long distance bill. |

kudos:7 | Sometimes, it seems to be sporadic. I've swapped memory and added SSDs and changed three GPUs (soon to be a forth) without Win7 ever needing to be unlocked.

Same here. I rebuilt my entire PC, new Motherboard, CPU, Video Card, Memory and SSD. About the only things I reused from my old PC was the power supply and Raid card(Areca 1220) and after reinstalling Windows 7 on the new machine, it activated fine. |
