Re: [TWC] Virtually All TWC Customers Face $3.95 Modem Rental Fe As far as TWC's "approved list" is concerned, I called last night and spoke to a rep who told me that the list will soon be expanded. She also told me that as long as it's DOCSIS 3.0 it shouldn't be a problem.
I believe it is correct in believing that TWC wants to discourage people from buying their own cable modems, as they only "certify" the costliest of the bunch.
