Re: I'm about to lose it Yes - at least there is some light at the end of the tunnel. (sorry for the cliche)
Even though I personally have rarely had a problem with Windstream, I can only imagine the frustration of you folks in these areas having to deal with this not for a day, not for a month, but for over a year! I mean, that's ridiculous!
I still wonder to myself what the filthy rich people are doing in these areas with only Windstream as the provider. I'm sure they too have been dealing with this. I say this because people with lots of money and power ( usually) ,if they are personally affected can pull strings. |

Just an update to the "Not a damn thing being done to fix my problem" nonsense. Hate this company so much. |

| Last time I called in around the beginning of November I was told that my ETR was moved up to Nov. 22nd. I haven't seen any work what so ever at my location. I seriously doubt that it will be repaired in less than 2 weeks. What is the update as of today? |

All day long. About 20 minutes ago you couldn't go to anything and multiple hops on the tracert were dropping out. Just called tech support and the retard tells me that "Oh yeah when you cannot connect to the internet it is because your username and password wasn't right.. Now it looks like it is connecting". I told the idiot that had nothing to do with it and had nothing to do with what I just explained to her. She said she would look into it and click.. hung up. I hope the entire Windstream company and all of Windstream's equipment burns to the ground one day. This entire company is terrible along with all this false hope bullcrap I keep getting fed about stuff soon to be fixed. You people are a total waste of an ISP and need to be put down.
Well time to log back on to WoW and run back to my body. Thanks Shitstream... another repair bill.

 | reply to Bodybagger I have been told now that "all funds for projects/repairs have been used till 2013". So exactly where did all the money go again? The government funding?
The fact that Windstream has oversold DSLAM bandwidth practically everywhere only means they have more business than ever. MAKES NO SENSE! GREEDY DISHONEST COMPANY! |
|
cwine join:2011-04-05 Little Hocking, OH | reply to Bodybagger This problem is literally country wide, and that's why I can't understand why they are still in business. How can you possibly give your customers in California a reason for poor service, and turn right around and tell the same thing to your Ohio customers? Its obviously this has been going on for years, and now its way too big for Windstream to handle. They will simply run the train until the wheels fall off, and then disappear... |

| Well I did call them 2 days ago to report that our net was dropping completely out. It happened the other night 5 times in ~10 minutes. Now it happening all through out the day. I was told from the guy I spoke too that it isn't Windstream's fault that the equipment is garbage. He was trying to insist that the companies Windstream bought up were in long need of this "network overhaul". The reason Windstream bought these companies up was because they were going to go out of business if they tried to update their existing equipment and/or install new equipment. So now Windstream is stuck with the burden of doing all of this upgrading and having to foot the bill.
Bunch of effin retards if you ask me. Our local Alltel was bought up atleast 7 years before the issues started. Not a damn thing has been done in this time frame to have the equipment updated and/or replaced. But now that all these problems are starting up everywhere, it is suddenly the old carriers' fault for not updating their equipment before Windstream bought them out.
I'm assuming they are getting tired of pointing the finger at the customer and their PC/Modem/Router and now have to point the finger at a carrier that no longer exist. What a total piece of garbage Windstream is! Take credit for your screw up and take credit for when you get it fixed. IF it ever gets fixed. You can't have your cake and eat it too you assholes...
Oh and computerdoc, we've been given repair dates for over 3 years that keep getting pushed due to funding. I don't believe a word I hear from Windstream when it comes to an ETR. Maybe the money has already been spent on the equipment but are waiting for install? Maybe the money was already spent lining the CEO's pockets? Maybe the money was "spent" and no new equipment or upgrades because somehow these idiots are funneling money from the company and they don't notice it... I wouldn't trust them with government money. They can't even get their shit together communicating throughout the company... let alone it is a communication company! Useless... |

 | reply to Bodybagger Wow that's embarrassing, 3 years of empty promises and deception. Well all I'm getting is 2013 for my ETR so they aren't even confident enough in themselves to give me a real date as of yet. That's funny the tech is blaming the equipment...well duh!
Yes tech support, your company has somehow squandered all possible "repair or update" funds for this year leaving a large majority of paying customers in the cold with no idea when service will be restored. But the CEO still manages to live large and somehow brag about his company and their progress?!
Either fix the hardware, improve the almost non-existent customer support or pass the business over to a corporation with actual morals and good business standards. If there was but one other ISP option in town in a lot of areas including mine, Windstream would be extinct. |
