[IA] How does the DMCA ban work?

Just read some news about Medicoms policy vs. other providers concerning the six strike rule. When someone is banned for DMCA violation does the lifetime ban only include the person named on the account or is the entire property banned?

For instance if I was banned could my wife get an account in her name and have a clean slate?

Anyone know how this works? Just curious.

Correct, It's the account holder. Once banned they cannot open another account with Mediacom for internet.
