Re: Networking quickbooks - network quality. Years ago, I used to do accounting software and networking - mostly AccPac & Simply Accounting, but a little QB's too...
From what I remember, Quickbooks didn't network particuarlly well at the best of times... Things like file locks and access control would get munched...
You've got MORE then enough horsepower on the 'server' machine; and 100M network should be plenty fast enough, as well...
I'd start by looking at QB networking specific tweaks... A little Google-fu makes comment about disabling the Win7 IPv6 stack, adding the server's IP to the client's 'HOSTS' file, and making sure there's no old/stuck network lock's in the QB's data directories.
