Sounds like node level work. Rogers doing maintenance always at the dammdest times. Your DHCP lease is probably set to 60 minutes and I am guessing there is another DHCP outage at the POI.

TSI David: This sounds very similar to the last outage we had a week or two back.

can someone humor me, and tell me what firmware version they are running on a motorola cable modem?

yeah, so it is a DHCP issue, after getting another callback.

this tech, said that my firmware is older (1.0.5.0) but it should still work.

so he put in a new ticket.

yes, mine did as well. about 2 min after my last post.

I was actually on the phone with tech support when it came back up.

the tech guy mentioned, that because my firmware is a little older, (SB612X-1.0.5.0) that I should send it in if i want it updated, and he mentioned that there has been some cases where older firmware lead to disconnects like this.

but i know this is some kind of dhcp issue on rogers end. I also get these pretty frequently, it seems like every couple weeks im down for an hour here and there.
