Modem uptimeOut of curiosity, how long have some of you had continuous upstream?
My SB6120 is the first modem I've had that has a runtime clock. I've been using it since late December 2009. Generally, it seems as if I can never get beyond 80 days for one reason or another. Initially, there were several firmware updates every 2-3 months. Then the occasional mysterious overnight reboot, or a deliberate reboot by me for some reason or another. Then this summer, issues with my upstream getting too high for the new bonded upstream.
I was up to about 68 or 69 days. Coming home, I saw a Comcast truck and guy working on an amp. When I checked, the modem had rebooted several times due to Sync Loss. Arghhh.
Basically, with the 6120, I think I got into the upper 70's once or twice. My previous 5120 may have had longer, but I'm only guessing as I don't think it had a runtime clock, so I tried to remember when I saw something in the log. |

SB5100... More than a year. Seriously. SB6120, a few months before all of the issues. Think I might have fixed my modem so we'll see how long that lasts. I currently have 4 days uptime which is the longest I've had in 3 months. Knocking on wood right now. |

I had longer, but due to very suck weather and coming upgrades, I've had DC's and resets. This is the current time from my ARRIS 502G: System Uptime: 38 days 8h:39m:12s |

About 150 days now. Only reason it isn't higher? I moved. |

If I have 30 days uptime, I am lucky. I am always resetting or reconfiguring equipment to optimize performance. Or it cuts out. |
