Re: Big Boys Toys qustion I used to, but I tend not to anymore because of cost.
I think the last two purchases I made based off of want were a Macbook Air (didn't really need a second laptop of the same generation), an QNAP NAS, and a Cisco 3560CG.
As far as desktop components go, I used to try to keep up with the latest and greatest, but I find myself not gaming as much anymore which means I can save on keeping up with video cards, and allows me to actually be more productive in work I bring home for the most part. I have bought other things out of necessity (HP ZR24W, an additional 8GB of RAM to make 24GB) but for the most part I'm content where I'm at, which is nice now that funds are increasingly tight (not dipping into my retirement for new components). |
