I know a lot of people here will rationalize it, but it would be nice if they gave you the modem whole. I mean, I don't think they are passing the money on to the customers from the costs saved removing the batteries from the modems before they give them to you.]]></description>

Frontier & Time warner are not really the best at dealing with outages or caring about customers.. at least when i was a employee  but i still find it hard to believe. <br><br>Jp16 has a great idea, Plus UPS batteries are replaceable & last a hell of a lot longer than the tiny shit china batteries im sure the modem manufacturer uses.]]></description>

My 650va UPS keeps them all alive for about 3-4 hours during a power outage.  You can get an inexpensive UPS for about $60-$80 that will do more than a $40 battery.  ]]></description>

I told them they should call Charter and talk about it. Thought I'd ask here tho. <br><br>Seems bad as if there power goes out they have no phone service. They are also in a area where there is no cell phone service as well due to the location of it.]]></description>
