So I finally did it.

I just bought a Gigaset C610A.

Any recommendations as far as settings people would like to share?
I heard that the low handset volume was address in the latest released firmware... Is this true?

I have had one in my Amazon shopping cart for about 4 months. I am hesitating. Also hoping something newer will come out. I find the handset is too thick.

Could you please let us know what your impressions are?

Edit: there seems to be a newer handset: the Gigaset S820

I sort of glanced at it and it does not looked like it has VoIP capabilities...

I will let you know as soon as it comes in my thoughts on it.

Gigaset phones don't have VoIP capability unless the phone model number includes "IP".

For example the A580 and the A580IP are different!

Cool. I order the C610A-IP. Looking forward for the phone to arrive.

I was able to adjust the volume through the GUI, and now no complaints.
The handsets are pretty small. The only complaint I have is the screens get scratched very easily. You may want to get some screen film.
The battery life is good and the HD audio is awesome. Although, for me it only works 'in house" because most providers don't support g722.

Congratulations on your purchase. I have been happily using one for over a year now and have been glad that I made the switch from an ATA.

As far as settings go, I did not have to adjust the volume on mine from the default setting. If you are not the only user of this telephone (i.e. in a home situation), then you will not want to pick the "Select line for each outgoing call". As this will annoy your users.

I got my Gigaset today and I have to say that I am most impress with it.
Slick phone and quality is good. Though I have to say that the base is sort of cheesy
