Which is the lesser of 2 evils???

So after all my research these are my only 2 options for high speed:

Rogers LTE 3 year contract, 10G/mo, $52/mo, anything over 10G is $10 per G.....I have the regular rocket hub now, average speed of 6mbps.....happy with that, I assume will be faster with LTE, or

Xplornet, contract???, 20G/mo, $50/mo, up to 3mbps....tower is maybe 4-6 km away....what I did find interesting is that on the 4G plans they have a "free download period" from 2-7am which doesn't go against your cap and a "sign up now and for $5 get an extra 100G"......so which would you choose???

For all the bad things I hear about xplornet, I think I'm leaning that way.

I would base your decision on your usage history. I can tell you from experience that LTE is extremely reliable, consistent and fast, but those overage charges can add up pretty quickly.

Worse to less worse:

General service and reliability:
Bell>Xplornet>Rogers>Videotron>Telus>Shaw

Resellers (major ones):

Acanac>teksavvy>Ebox

For people who use P2P or who value privacy:

Videotron=SaskTel=Rogers>Bell>Telus>Shaw

Resellers yet to be seen.

It's all relative to what you expect in a service.

As much as I would like to have all those options, I'm stuck with Rogers and Xplornet. I suppose I could do the 30 day with Xplornet, and then switch if I'm dissatisfied with the service. My only concern is that the 30 days are great and then after that they throttle me down, then I'm stuck for 3 years.......Unless I pay for the installation, then I could knock that down to 2, or even 1.

Ya, I hear ya. I'm sure it would add up quick. Especially during the 3 years with the kids getting older and god only knows what they'd be into.
