Re: Quebec Cable - Slow Speeds (vCable)

Hi kilou,

I do not have a hard date however in the next 3 weeks, we "should" see something.

Thanks,

Andre

we need a boost in Montreal again....................

(or like do not bite off more than you can chew, no offense and I know no company will stop taking customers, its normal to expand, but it feels like the more ppl teksavvy takes, the more problems happen on long term, because quality of service tends to go down with the rising quantity of ppl, taking preventive measure before those things happen would be good)

most days my speed is ok but sometimes it goes down to 1mb...

The congestion started a little earlier tonight: 7:30pm Est.

Shouldn't you have a system in place to catch this BEFORE it happens?

That's the problem.
They wait until people complain before putting a "rush" notice on the upgrade order.

Heck, I bet their "previously" ordered proactive measure was more something along the lines of: "We'll announce to videotron our intent to place an upgrade order, but wait until people notice the link is overloaded".

We dropped the ball on this. Sales have been better then expected, I personally signed the docs to upgrade to a third gig link a couple months ago.. It's on the way, really sorry.

typical business method!

That's one of the reason I am not fond of TSI as much these days. Just another Bell I see in making excuses!!

They grew big but they were never prepared for it. After launching cable, for me they just went downhill in every department. They didn't had enough staff to start with and not enough gears to provide proper service. They just saw an opportunity to grow big and make $$$ and took the step. They just overlooked other aspects of it and now they say, we are trying our level best to correct things...why did you guys let it go this far in the first place??

Where is the business plan? Isn't it the first thing a business does?

Just to add, I'm not taking a personal hit on TSI Marc, just overall. Disappointed, I just avoided saying negative things but it's just that, I see tons of excuses now a days.

Having said that, I have been lucky and glad that TSI Martin, TSI Chad to name a few, always helped me with my issue.

*while* dealing with an outage and making sure everybody is doing what they need too in order to make sure customers know what's going on and network admins working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

That's exactly why it's still mixed feelings and because you are not giving up!

Let me try this from a different angle. Please don't call me a greedy liar. I honestly can't stand for it. I'm a person you know. It's just not true.

To add to you're earlier comment, it wasn't "an opportunity to grow big". It just happened by doing the same thing we're doing now... Caring and trying to make a difference.. We even put stop sells for something like 6 months. I couldn't slow it down even if I wanted to.

Marc, in situations like this, wouldn't it be preferable to cap the speed of everyone affected to at least guarantee the connections stop dropping dead every 5 seconds? I mean, I love having 30mbits, but it's rather useless if it keeps dying and translates to less than 5mbits.
