 | network attached storage device I am running ubuntu 9.10 any how my question is I have a seagate backup plus drvie that is my nas(netwok attached storage device when I copy file to the NAS and unplug the storage device and plug it back in data is gone in the file any idea why it wou do that before I unplug the nas the data is still their. Thanks in advance |

 | reply to rdema19403 i have the nas plugged into to the usb port on my router i just unplugged it one time to see what would happen when i plugged it back in the files i had on the hard drive were gone. The drive i have is seagate 1 terabit backup plus drive |

 | Read the manual on the router to see how it handles storage devices. It's not NAS, per se, it's a USB storage device and the router is managing the mounting, caching, flushing.
Not a Linux issue. |
