Instead of daily quests being an optional part of the game like always before, they opted to make daily quests a mandatory requirement in order to progress in end game raiding/dungeons. You have to farm rep (through dailys) to purchase gear.
We're not just talking completing like 5 quests here. When Blizzard increases the amount of daily quests you can do a day to 48, that's when I don't bother anymore. |

Because I could be in with 1000 other people and not have to sit in some bullshit queue. Granted lag was terrible and I don't think they ever really worked out class balance but even that wasn't terrible. The PvE stuff was not all that bad either.
Create another game like DAoC, fix the buff bot issue, figure out how to not put in some cap on PvP so anybody can just jump in, and have decent PvE content. I'll gladly pay you $15/month. -- Team Discovery: Project Hope |

GhastlyonePremium join:2009-01-07 Las Vegas, NV kudos:2 | reply to Savious My biggest gripe with WoW is the daily quests. And the new expansion they basically injected steroids into the daily quest theme. That's why I'm so glad they are pretty much non existent in GW2.
Maybe WoW will adopt GW2 style dynamic groups events someday too. GW2 leveling experience is second to none. |

1 edit | reply to Savious skimmed, and then read you flaming GW2
wasn't a troll... I always thought I liked open world PvP
after GW2, I'm happy there is no open world PvP... PvP has it's place in sPvP and WvW, where it makes sense, is more balanced, more fair |

in an MMO, balance for PvP, should be based on MASSIVE encounters... since its MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER
GW2 is attempting to do it right with WvW, there is nothing massive about getting ganked 1v1 in the open world... its nothing but griefing Read my post. You got me there... LOL too tired. hahahaha So, basically you just trolled this post without reading anything I put? -- Jobbie told me to keep my signature the same. This is me rebelling. |

Griefing happens in WoW, yea. But only terrible terrible players will get griefed repeatedly. Ive had my body camped in WoW hundreds of times. I could never understand how people cant get away... -- Jobbie told me to keep my signature the same. This is me rebelling. |

The 2 best?
#1 - GW2 #2 - WoW
and WoW has some serious catching up to do...
What is the biggest part of an MMO?
THE OPEN WORLD
which mmo has by far the best open world? GW2
/endthread First off, this thread isnt a discussion about what is better between GW2 and WoW. So your /endthread just makes you look like a jackass.
Secondly, did you read what I posted? I put that GW2's world is the basis for my design, except Ive added several things that make the game a lot more interesting.
Having an open world where the only opponents will only ever be NPCs is bland and unexciting. -- Jobbie told me to keep my signature the same. This is me rebelling. |
