Break it into more than one part with WinRar or the like. |

Get a dropbox account. They are free and allow you to transfer large files. Much simpler than trying to break them up into small pieces. |

May I ask what the aversion to using a cloud service is? If you don't want anyone else to have access there are services that provide that option. If you are just worried about it being on a server out there then it will be with email as well. If that is the case then you might want to consider putting it on a thumb drive and shipping it overnight with UPS or FedEx. |

thanks for the help tho Where do you think your email is? But that is temporary unless you intentionally leave it there. POP3 normally gone after delivery, unless (non default) set your client to leave a copy. Most web services (Google, etc) once you delete it its gone. (Or maybe briefly in Trash) |

Re: email mp4Yep. That's the best you can do if you don't want to use the cloud. |

upload it to a new yahoo account (such as an attachment in a draft), send id/pw to person and they can download it
or
upload it to photobucket |

Have you thought about converting it to a different format to see if you can get the file size down? » www.convertfiles.com/ |

IF you can covert it to *.avi you should be able to attach it. I think hotmail does 10MB.
Alternatively, I am pretty sure IM still allows you to send files. |

Alternatively, I am pretty sure IM still allows you to send files. With Email it also depends on what the recipients mailbox will allow, as well as what you are allowed to send. But if this is a 40sec mp4, it must be 1080p to be that huge. |
