Re: [Voip.ms] Failover options when server down
I'm in the same boat, I asked via their "suggest a feature page" about a fail-over setup twice in the past 2 years and both times it got rejected. When I recently asked a few weeks ago the reply I got was a template email reply, saying thanks for submitting!
Its frustrating and since VoIP.ms still chooses to use data centers that don't other 100% up-time & we suffer when they fail. Ubiquity-servers in Chicago that host/collocation VoIP.ms server is great for web-hosting but not for up-time for VoIP services, and that joke of a data center in Hamilton called Carat networks, that hosts Toronto servers is brutal. I left that place years ago because it's sucks for my business needs! Can you packet loss & downtown guaranteed!
The bottom line is that VoIP.ms needs a fail-over solution if your going to continue to use cheap data centers that do not offer 100% up-time!
