Re: [Voip.ms] Failover options when server down

Setting up an Asterisk box with FreePBX via the FreePBX Distro or PBX In A flash is a no brainer.

I have my system registered to 5 different servers from various service providers. I have the outbound routes set-up to failover to all five.

In addition, I set-up an override feature code, so that *81 goes out on one provider, *82 goes out on another, *83 on another, and so on.

I don't disagree that setting up Asterisk can be easy. It's the care and maintenance of yet another box I object to. If I'm not there my wife is basically out of luck if there is a problem. I am a semi-retired Unix system support person, but she is not.
