Modem Rental - Cogeco Region

Hey, I was just curious what modem is currently being offered when you choose to rent a modem for your 30mbps cable package. I'm in the Cogeco zone. Also, when signing up is there a delivery charge on top of the rental fee for the modem? Do we pay this in advance or on the first invoice?

Thanks.

Currently we are sending out the DPC3000 for the 30mbps package. There is no delivery fee for rental modems.

Is DPC3000 available only in Cogeco region? Could it be used in Rogers region as well?

Thanks

The DPC3000 is not approved for Red areas, only Cogeco.

Just a heads up.

»Cisco DPC3000's just about done!

The replacement is the DCM476, also a great modem.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I went to signup tonight but noticed the only options are Credit and Debit cards. I do not have a credit card and I use a smaller credit union for my banking, not one of the major banks listed. Cogeco mails us a bill and we pay it at the bank. Are there any other payment methods or ways I can pay without being with the major banks?

Also, when signing up if I plan to cancel my cogeco service after start is setup, what do I put in the cancellation date box?

Thanks

You can sign up for PreAuth'd payment. If you have a cheque you are good to go.

Unfortunately at this time we only have prepayment methods but we should be able to do preauthorized from your credit union though no problem. What some people do is get a prepaid credit card for the initial signup and then do preauthorized banking for the monthly services.

For the cancellation box you can just put in todays date.

Thanks and have a great night.
