Yeah, LFR is loot roulette... and cliff's notes for lore. Not real raiding.

Yep, though look at the loot tables before burning a charm.

It might not be worth it to burn a charm on a boss that doesn't have anything for you or you already have epics in those slots.

Also I got 2 items toward the legendary.

I think even though blizz doesn't want to admit it LFR is mandatory for people wanting to work on it (right now LFR+reg = 9 chances to get items for the legendary.)

Man, I didn't get crap from LFR but gold...you guys are lucky.

I got the legendary item off the 2nd and 3rd boss.
and a neck and chest off the 2nd boss (which I DE'ed after the run)

Learned my lesson check the loot tables before burning a charm.

Also I already have the black prince at honored so I just need 10 of legendary item 1 and 10 of item 2.

As I haven't killed anything in reg yet does it give black prince rep? or is that just going to wait till 5.1?

For the charm, do I just turn in 90 lessers to get one, then it'll give me an option for another roll on a boss kill?

I really hope the chances of getting loot are 100% when using them...it seems like an epic waste if it's not. I mean it takes 45 dailies to get one, and for people like me, that's 2-3 days of questing.

It's a repeatable quest from one of the quest givers at the bottom of the temple of stairs. I like having the quest so that I see the numbers progress after each daily I complete. I haven't used any yet.

Yeah, I have the quest, but haven't collected 90 lesser charms (I'm at like 80).

You get an option when a boss dies to basically get another roll, correct?

You talk about someone who will be pissed, let me use a charm and not get some loot. I'll blow my top for doing all those quests to get the charm for nothing.

Its possible to not get loot.

I wasted a charm on the 1st boss in LFR (it doesn't have any loot for me on the table anyway) and I got some gold.

I think the odds are good for getting loot but not if the boss just doesn't have anything for you.

(look at the dungeon journal, dig down to the boss then click on the loot tab, now go to filter and filter it for your class and spec)

Also set the dungeon journal to the difficulty you're looting.

For the 1st boss in LFR it goes blank for mages.

I used my 3 charms last night on LFR and I got healing legs out of the second boss I think is not worth it to save them since there is only 3 bosses per week and its really easy to get 90 on a week,

You can use them on reg and heroic too.

and there will be 6 bosses in LFR next week

Then when T14.5 hits with the other 2 raids there will be a total of 18 bosses per week with LFR opening 1 week delayed from the raid and in 2 parts, also a week delayed.

so you should be careful as to where you use them as you can only have 10 max at a time. (IMO it should be 12 as you get them in sets of 3.)

So this week there are 9 bosses you could use them on (not sure about the world bosses) and next week a total of 12, so saving is a good idea.

How does it work for regular raids when there is a loot master?

Yep its a personal roll outside of the ML control.

you kill the boss the extra UI will open.

So once you're doing some heroic bosses you might want to save the charms for heroic kills, but always be at 7 by the end of Monday so you can do the turn in and get all 3 from the turn in.

Good call, I will start saving mine for now I am glad I got a epic piece from 1 of 3 charms since the chance is not that high i think i got lucky.

So in T14.5 you'll have a total of 36 bosses per week to use them on.

Next week the 2nd half of LFR opens then I think its suppost to be a month or so till the other 2 raids open and a week after than part 1 LFR for them then a week and part 2, then part1 of raid3 then part2. (remember the 3rd raid requires clearing the 2nd raid so I'm sure those 12 bosses will all be opened over 4 weeks for LFR.
