Do you mean Tom Welling? Maybe they thought it would be weird having him on Arrow and then Kirsten Kreuk on Beaty and the Beast.
Did Arrow already premiere? Wanted to check it out, but not sure how much I will enjoy it. Kind of ticked they took away The Secret Circle for stupid shows like Hart of Dixie and Gossip Girl
It premeired last night. I watched it just to see hwo it would be. Overall I think it was ok. The pilot episode did answer some questions but there are still many questions left unanswered. I am hoping that future episodes will help reveal those answers. There are a couple of things that bugged me:
1) Where did all the equipment at the factory come from? 2) I guess I am to assume that he tapped into the power grid for the electricity to run things and that he is pirating internet 3) He made some sort of arrow that he can use to break into a computer? It's not like his other arrows which he can make. 4) his bodyguard hadn't resurfaced yet after he took him out. How is he gonna explain that?
Interesting end scene.
I will watch it for now. See how to goes before I give a final judgement.
Arrow also premiered on CTV2/Muchmusic in Canada around the same time (last night) and, theres also a UK/Ireland premiere sometime on Sky1, as well as in Australia's Nine Network. Other countries getting it are Columbia & Mexico.
I watched it, not bad, dark n gritty antihero dealie. Ofc if you remember the DC Comics versions (of which there were many over the years) I'm trying to figure out if they're going to draw from all those variations and twist 'em together somehow consolidating a single style. Or if they're going for an entire other take and do a complete departure from the Classic Green Arrow of the DC Universe. Who's to know.
Heres looking forwards to the next few weeks. I think we're looking at a 10 episode season.
Unless something changes, it may only be nine eps. I suspect that CW is waiting to see if it's a hit or a miss.
I found it to be so-so; not a stellar pilot but not god-awful either. Will give a few more eps but it's unlikely that I'll make a point of watching it after that unless it really picks up.
I was looking forward to this, I'm glad I watched. I agree with Merovingian, dark & gritty.
I'm 100% unfamiliar with the comic, so I have no bias on that vs. the show. I will continue to watch, especially since Supernatural is on immediately afterwards.
As long as Wed. stays the way it is, I'm a happy camper. I was ticked that I couldn't watch last season of Supernatural, because of other shows being DVRed at that time. A bummer CW doesn't just rebroadcast it's shows over the weekend.

I missed the first 20 minutes so I checked and was told it's being reran on the 13th (DVRed). As for Supernatural, there are other ways for getting the complete season, which is what I'm going to do as I lost track of couple of seasons ago .
Netflix has all the seasons [except this one of course]. I'm trying to "do the right thing" and use legal sources for TV shows. Trying to teach my kids, the right way.
I watched the premier, thought it was okay. Never read the comics or knew any history of the character, so the island bit seemed interesting. Like Mero said, it was pretty dark, which I really like.

Umm...you do realize once your kids learn the birds and the bees, they skies the limit when it comes to downloading (unless you lock down your network, desktops, laptops, etc.).
