 | Dawsonville, GA - SLOW AGAIN Looks like I am back to having trouble again. I really hope I don't have to contact the CEO again like before to get this resolved. I will give it some time and see what the WS techs can do to help? WS Techs? Are you reading this? I am slow again. What is going on?
Here is my old post: »[Troubles] Georgia - Paying for 12mb. Getting 1.5mb. |

 | Good luck. While you wait, shop around for another service. |
|
 | reply to DawsonvilleG I got results last time. And I will get them again. What WS should do is implement an auto payback system. They know we are not getting what we paid for, so pro-rate it and send me a refund. Since they will not do that, I will have to go after my money again, just like before. |

11:40 pm eastern time. Should be a period of low activity here and great speeds. But it's not... |

Notice how my speed is better in the morning...
WS Techs - How come none of you have engaged me yet on the forum to help? |
|
2 edits | I'm in NC, and my service is the same. From 4 until about midnight my speed drops, and pings go up to almost 200ms. After midnight and during the day speeds are almost 13 mb/s on speed tests, and pings are 30ms or less.
Anyway its been this way for the past 2 months, although its better now than it was. Before that my service has been near flawless since moving to 12 meg in 2008. |

Windstream Techs - How come you have not responded to me and tried to assist yet?
And the fun continues...

Once again, my speed in the morning is good. As the days goes by it deteriorates...
Interesting... Looks like my connection has been re-routed. Prior to this, when I pulled up speedtest.net, it showed my location as being north of Atlanta which is correct. Now it shows me in North Carolina. |

Slipen join:2010-04-18 Cairo, GA | Mine does that too, usually it has me pick Tallahassee since it is less than 50 miles away. Last 2-3 months though every now and again it has me pick Newman, GA which is over 150 miles away. |

 | reply to DawsonvilleG Here I go again... I learned the first time to document.
8:45 pm I spoke to Sylvester at x5018131
I have to give him credit. He did not patronize me like others have at WS. He was very professional. He admitted to me that there is in fact a latency outage (slowness) in my area. Most likely from over-subscription. He said there is NO ETA.
NO ETA!!! Seriously?
I wonder what Jeff Gardner would do if he took his auto into thr shop for repairs and they said: NO ETA. -- -- DawsonvilleG

 | reply to DawsonvilleG I had a rock solid 12Mb connection up until a few weeks ago.Now I'm getting the about the same results as you are.Looks like Windstream is slowly going down the tubes. |
|
Liv @windstream.net | I was also rock solid 6mb connection up till 2 weeks ago wtf happened? I know the tech told me that the line out of my area was overloaded, but that there is no order to fix it. Hey Mr.Gardner how you doin up there all nice and cozy? How would you like to be without internet access 70% of the time? I just bet you would put up with this crap huh? |
