I have started noticing things getting pretty bad over the last week or so over by my house. I have been disconnecting intermittently. I would suspect the weather and possibly some moisture problems...but honestly doubt that is the problem. I am researching what it will take to get on the NGN - » northgeorgianetwork.comI am hoping that my home business will qualify me for this. ....Here's to hoping !  Maybe that is the WS upgrade ? - connect their net to the NGN ? JoeS |

more than likely you have the Same issue that everyone is getting. Windstream being the Enron like company that it is IE poor management. has oversubscribed. so there are too many people for there bandwith. so the connection is good when everyone is asleep. but sucks the moment the majority start to get online. |

Yes. I have that issue. I've been fighting it since 2010. Document, document, document... Call your reps, file complaints with state, FCC, etc. Don't quit. |

Your results are interesting, typically with over saturation latency increases dramatically, yet your ping is fantastic. Have you looked to see what your modem's sync rate is? |

My modem is in bridge mode. I really don't want to change the config again. Been there, done that many times. |

As is mine, you can still check the signals while leaving the modem in bridge mode, but it does require assigning a static IP to your pc temporarily and connecting directly.

3:30 pm. Better than 1Mbps. Still not the 12Mbps I am paying for. 1/4th of what I am paying for. If this is the average, then I should be paying $12.50/month vs. $50. |

8:00 pm. Barely 4. Definitely not the 12 I pay for. Does seem a little better. I'm not seeing as much of the 1Mbps or lower that I saw before. Notice the high jitter. This is why so many WS users complain of Skype and Vonage (Voip) issues. |
