Re: Root original Galaxy Tab Oh.... they make it look sooooo.... easy. This video is done with a Sprint version, which is cdma, just like my Verizon one. The guide says for all versions of the Galaxy Tab. I've followed this tutorial exactly on three different computers. One Windows 7, and two Windows XP. It always ends the same. SuperOneClick hangs during the root process, and never finishes.

| Try this if you haven't already. I have the original Tab rooted and running CM10 (Jellybean) Works pretty well.

Rooted at last!! I was able to find the other ROM, Galaxy cubed. I've got this successfully rooted now! Thank you so much.
I am quite unhappy with this ROM though. If I use the
update_SCH-I800_EC02_to_EI04A.zip ROM Do you think I could easily root it not that I've got it unlocked?

It apparently works for the SCH-I800 (Verizon) as well. I strongly recommend reading the entire thread before attempting anything though. However, would breath new life into that Tab.
