I want to be contacted asap!!!

I am so tired of this!

Maybe other subscribers don't give a crap but I'm not putting up with this any longer.

I was getting emails from Teksavvy Accounts saying I owe $45 and they're about to cancel (after suspend msgs) so I pay it. But, for this entire month and longer, the service and line quality has been absolute garbage. I don't care if it's Rogers. Then point them out to the CRTC!!!

I want a discount NEXT MONTH! So, I expect my bill to be credited next month. Thanks.

My internet goes in and out and ping times go sky high and speeds are slow and downloads take forever like I'm on dial-up.

Then when you do get on the phone, you listen to that gawd awful music for half an hour or more.

I think these organizations have to take a stronger stand against the CRTC if you think Rogers/Bell are responsible. I don't understand how one can't point out their interference and why idiotic Canadians can say anything positive about this pathetic excuse for a toilet bowl country!

Um. Wow. With so much negativity, I don't even know where to begin.

said by Ontarionet:

Are you implying that if other subscribers are having problems with their service they just don't care, stay quiet and continue on without reporting the problems? Really?

You could complain to the CRTC, yourself, you know.

said by Ontarionet:

You choose to listen to the hold music. TekSavvy has other options to get tech support, including a call-back option and the TekSavvy Direct forum, which a support staff member has already pointed you to.

You are beyond delusional if you're under the impression that TekSavvy, of all smaller providers, has not taken a strong stand against Rogers/Bell and the CRTC. Does the UBB scandal ring a bell? How about Rocky, the founder and then-CEO, protesting on Parliament Hill with numerous Canadian citizens? Anything? No?

Also, your anger aside, I take offense to you calling Canada a "pathetic excuse for a toilet bowl country". That's taking things quite further beyond a bad experience with your Internet connection. If you seriously hate Canada so much and can't think of anything positive to say about it, then by all means, feel free to emigrate.

Wow.. OP I would suggest you pay your montly bill on time and go through the proper channels for tech support. Otherwise you're welcome to go back to wherever you came from.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds you blaming your inability to pay your bill on all of Canada funny. If you truly think that Canada is a "pathetic excuse for a toilet bowl country," I encourage you to leave immediately and find somewhere where they'll tolerate your blather.

Isn't 'Blather' about the same as 'Malarkey' ?

Sorry, I watched the US VP debate highlights, and Biden calling his opponent's verbiage 'a bunch of Malarkey' was one of them.

AND, my mother was Irish.

Just a bit less informal (according to the OED, that is). Felt it was better to use blather than bullshit .

Don't come to a public forum and demand discounts and do NOT under any circumstances think Canada is a toilet bowel. I take great offence to that and I'm sure many others will as well, I can see you intelligence is that of an Ant for not using the proper channels and bad mouthing such a great country.

TSI should just drop this fool as a customer, go back to were you came from

Even you have to admit Rogers is responsible for all of this. It's the Rogers tradition to spend nothing absolutely nothing. They didn't get named the most throttled isp on planet Earth for nothing you know.

Yes, I know they have. I commend them for that and wish them the best of luck. They must be frustrated as well, right?!? What I don't get is if the CRTC and Rogers et al. are in collusion or making unfair conditions for the smaller providers, how they can get away with it so easily (considering the steps Teksavvy and others have taken).

As for my comments and those taking offense, I say get a life.

Do what voxframe says and don't forget to pay your bills before leaving. I guess your parents didn't teach you responsibility along with proper manners.

Don't you have something better to do?

Am I not allowed to vent here now since I have a brainwashed mob who seem to love Canada but don't like freedoms, I guess.

I'm not replying anymore. I know that others are having trouble with the internet so talk to them and see how they are feeling today.

Same goes for you. Do you not have anything better to do than to berate those who are here to help, and to spew blatant hatred for our country?

Instead of wasting your time throwing your hatred around, try contributing more positively to society.

Get off your high horse. People vent here every day. What you've done is taking it too far by going about it in a blatantly insulting and hateful manner. Everyone is free to vent, but we have the courteous expectation here that those who do so will do it respectfully. What you did was throw your egotistical weight around, insulting our country, thinking you deserved to be treated like royalty. Not happening.

If all you have to say here is negative and hateful, then by all means don't reply anymore.

If you have anything constructive and respectful to say, even if you're venting, you're more than welcome to do so. Otherwise, feel free to stay quiet.

There are plenty of forums all over the Internet where people like you can spew all the hate speech they so desire in order to further inflate their egos. This isn't one of them.

Ontarionet, aside from the bill thing, you are right about how Bell and Rogers screws with the smaller providers. I also think it is about time people stand up and tell them to stop messing with people. CRTC is your first point of contact, and by the way my neighbor who also has teksavvy also has lots of disconnects, and she just got fed up trying to deal with them as they always blame Bell. But yeah I hear yeah with regards to indie isp service being crap thanks to the big guys making it bad and no one having the balls to do anything about it.

No one's saying you're not allowed. They're not trying to infringe upon your freedom of speech; they're using theirs to point out that you're being completely ridiculous.

Thanks. I'm glad I received one sensible reply.

My rant was mostly about Rogers/Bell, really. I realize that Teksavvy and others have sent letters and protested to the CRTC and all that. But, although that is very good, it is disconcerting that even these moves seem to have only a limited effect on them.

I'm not sure what the solution is (if there is one) but I guess that is where the rant came from.

How was I being nasty?
If people want to beat their chests while Canada has a poor state of telecommunications (both internet and wireless), that's fine. But, complaining and whining about my comments doesn't really accomplish anything.

Well, I get to blow off steam. Maybe one person thinks about it and ultimately sees where I'm coming from. If so, then it does.

Canada isn't a free County at this exact moment in time. If I could go and setup my own free-speech umm, Radio Station on some commercial channel without being completely told what to do by the crtc (no problem paying the fee by the way... that's just business)... then I would consider us a free nation.

HOWEVER (that's a big however), Canada is mostly free, open and RESPECTFUL. We are amazingly tolerant of other nationalities taking over our soil and we even welcome them better than we do our own flesh and blood.

So, before you go attacking one of the best IISP's (for fighting for freedoms and open transparency cum polite communication in a publicly viewable forum); I would ask that you take a stern look at yourself in the mirror and ask if all of this was worth it.

Canada's not the best but; it can be.

I would say there is a fine line between "freedom" and "anarchy".

I think a lot of people might get a little upset that you called Canada a "toilet bowl country" because you have/had a problem with your internet, that would be a slight over reaction.

I'm a little upset about it personally, but I'm not going to resort to calling you names, doing so with simply not solve anything.

I'm going to take CANADA out of what you said... Go to any country and say their country is a "TOILET BOWL COUNTRY" and see what reaction you get. It will not go over well anywhere. Try it in the US... Mexico, or even Britain. You really can't expect someone isn't going to get offended, or going to point out that maybe your comment went a little too far, especially over this issue. I agree need to make changes, but insulting the entire country isn't a way to get people to listen or cause change. It will just turn supporters against your cause.
