[Wired] My e4200 Linksys ethernet ports do not work!Bought a refurb e4200 Linksys and found the ethernet ports do not work. Lights have not been disabled. I have tried the setup disk, the router setup via address and nothing has worked. I have another router e2500 and that works perfect. Pls help. Any ideas?? |

Sounds like a bad router and nothing more you can do. Send it back for another. |

I know this is a long shot but how are you hooked up to do the setup? I would do a hard reset and then connect a single PC to a numbered port and reboot the PC. If you've done this, then as posted, its a bad router. What I'm trying to ensure is that your PC gets its IP address from the router. |

Perhaps the user who owned it before you did:
a) tried to load third party firmware (for example DD-WRT) on the router and failed ?
b) loaded third party firmware on the router and the DHCP Server by default is disabled ? |
