 swbrains join:2004-04-14 Wesley Chapel, FL | [TV] Strange bug in new menu with show progress bar I noticed this issue once before the new menu, but we just got the new menu a few days ago and I saw it happen again so I snapped a photo of it.
I had finished watching Renovation Realities from 9:30pm to 10pm, and after the new show had started at 10pm, I pressed Info and saw the progress bar anomaly shown in the attachment. Note where the "current position" diamond is displayed.
I also took a picture of the guide so you can see that the current show is no longer the show name being displayed by the progress bar (Info banner). |

 | Laraine hit another one last night. One show from the DVR she was watching did NOW show the progress bar when she fast forwarded? Usually shows the times and location within the show. Not a real problem as she was bypassing adds, but it was just odd? Other DVR shows worked fine? Only happened once. -- Irv Spalten |

 | Gary, I think this was the Samsung 3090's problem...
I has 'died', this morning we re-booted it. Later this afternoon my wife passed by and she said it had a 6111 in the display, it probably rebooted for some reason.
Well now ONLY the green power button was on... NOTHING else... a call to service and they said it was on-line, and they tried contacting and re-booting it. Nothing happened.
Service has declared it dead...
We'll be taking it in tomorrow...
You know who, who must be obey'ed, is not a happy camper, and I can't watch Monday Night Football on the big screen. Thank goodness BH TV is working on the iPad, hmm, on ESPN, isn't it.. -- Irv Spalten |

 | Mine froze...totally. I have had DVR's since they were released......and never experienced this issue. The TV screen went Blank; the Guide banner at the bottom of the screen showed the channel and Information for the weather Channel, the Display on the DVR showed a totally different Channel and the Scheduled recording did not record even though the Record light was on. I purposely waited to re-Boot the DVR after the scheduled show ended because I had hoped it was recording. After I re-booted I noted the show did not record. I think it froze when I was deleting a show I had just watched. After the re-Boot, that show was still in my Show List.....but when I pressed Play I got nothing. So it seems it deleted from the hard drive but not the List. I was after to delete it from the List by pressing delete.
This issue has not repeated since the re-Boot. But as I reported in a previous Post; my Boxes report to Power ON. I actually see the Display go to TIME, than to 2d, then to my set On Channel. All 3 Boxes Re-Boot to ON. Went to a Neighbors home, he has 2 Boxes, 1 DVR, 1 HD, his Boxes also Re-Boot to ON. Anyone Notice This? |

 | It happened again; DVR FROZE. I had the Weather Channel on, pressed LIST.....to watch a Recorded show, when we deleted show, TV screen went Blank, except for guide Banner at bottom of screen, the Banner this time showed AMC channel...the DVR Display showed 63..... This time there was NO Scheduled program recording. I re-booted the DVR. I went to the SHOW LIST; the program I was deleting was still displayed (as it was the previous time). Pressed Play, screen Blank because obviously the show deleted from the HD but not the List. I used Delete to remove the program name from the list.
In Summary, this is now the 2nd time My DVR has Froze since the Guide Update.....both times I was perfroming the same exact thing, it was when I was Deleting a program from the Play List, both times my TV screen went Blank, both times the Guide Info on Screen showed a different Channel than what was displayed on the DVR's display......both times after the DVR Re-Booted the program I was deleting when the DVR Froze was deleted but the program still appeared in the Show List...... |

I have had DVR's ever since they were offered by BHN and have never experienced this kind of issue. What steps do I need to follow.......How do I see what Version I have installed? |

My box is a Samsung. It has been the new guide since version 5 was downloaded. On mine, to see the version I just press the Select key for about 10 seconds (until the special feature menu goes away on some channels) and then press the up arrow key. |
