For those having internet problems - unplug power and cable.

Got home today and found internet down. "Online" light on the modem that is supposed to be solid green was dark. Don't remember what "Link" light was (supposed to be blinking yellow) - I think it was dark too.

Tried unplugging power from the modem and then plugging it again - didn't help.

Went to check with neighbors who also have OOL - their connection works fine.

Called CV and they suggested unplugging both power and cable wire, then plugging them back - this fixed the problem.

I can't begin to tell you how often I've forgotten to do this when I first discover a problem. Simple but often effective.

I still wonder why it makes a difference though.

the Cable will supply the feed and the modem will adjust to the feed being connected since the cable line still carries electricity.. thats my thought. Might not be clear haha
