I have a friend that recently went off a 12 month term with Cogeco and specifically let them know that he did NOT want to renew for another year. Instead he wanted to go back onto their month-to-month plan. The CSR "apparently" made a note on the account to reflect this but when the time came, he was back on the 12 month contract. What can he do about this bullshit?
I told him they would do that too, I told him he should have called in that month to let them know -- surprise surprise they did exactly that.
Plan: Cogeco Business Starter (12/m) no other Cogeco services. -- I love fish sticks. I love putting fish sticks in my mouth.
From what I understand, you're in a year long contract until the year is up and after that you're just paying the 'contract rates' month to month rather than the $10/month higher rates. That's how it was explained to me.
It sounds like they're doing your friend a favour rather than doing something to get upset about...
