And what's with all the restaurants in Canada named after cities in the US? Houston's... Baton Rouge...
That would be Bâton Rouge, where "bâton" translates to English as 'baton', so a red baton would (I believe) be a reference to the house specialty, ribs, and not a reference to the city in Florida. And Boston Pizza is a Canadian company too. I've heard of 'Chicago-style pizza' but not Boston-style, and I've found the food at the restaurant to be incredibly bland. Worse than just plain boring.
That's because Boston Pizza sounded better than Edmonton Pizza. They didn't even need a focus group to figure that out.
They should have gone with "St-Louis-de-Ha-Ha Pizza" or "Moose Factory Pizza" to give it a good Canadian feel.
I haven't seen any War of 1812 commercials, but I'll guess they don't mention that the Rideau Canal was built as a result of it so that Fort Henry could be resupplied without using the St Lawrence River if there was another conflict with the US as Parks Canada is currently currently cutting back the funding for it in a big way.

ummm, the famous "Baton Rouge" city is Louisiana, not Florida.

Argh....I was thinking Boca Raton when I said Florida. I actually do know Baton Rough is Louisiana, but today is Monday.
