Incorrect. Your modem could be synced for a year, but when the profile is changed, it will lose sync and resync at the new speed.

The sync is cut by the DSLAM when a profile is changed.

I did a speed test and it seems I wasn't switched automatically. I haven't re-synced my modem in a long time so that could be why. Most likely they haven't bothered to switch anyone without being asked.

Is this actually the case? Has anyone had any luck getting the new profile?
