So it'd be better to say miles per joule. Well, kind of, in that a gallon of gasoline has a certain potential energy, and we're trying to measure how much useful output we got from that energy by distance traveled.
But once you start down that route, you can just start applying arbitrary units and eventually we're into furlongs/liter squared or some such nonsense. |

Well actually you'd have to say a gallon has X joules of energy but the car is only going to operate at Y efficiency so, but a gallon of 93oct has a greater energy density than 86oct. |

if the object weights 2200N on Pluto it'll weight 37,210N on earth, and has a mass of 3793kg. |

| reply to DarkLogix said by DarkLogix:Answer this question (it'll take some research)
If have an object that weighs 2200N on Pluto and I bring it to Earth what's it weight on Earth? about 31.5kN -- Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau! "What happened in here?" " Seems to have been a bit of a squabble." "They're all dead!" " More of a tif then." |

DarkLogixTexan and ProudPremium join:2008-10-23 Baytown, TX kudos:3 | if you use »wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_g···of_Pluto
.58m/s^2 for g(Pluto) and 9.81 for g(Earth) then w=mg so
2200/.58*9.81=37,210.34N as the significant digits are only at most 2 decimal places its safe to drop the trail off there. |

| well i guess it was about 7% that of earths or after getting the actual math from unexplainable things web site ill cite it later its 1/15 or .07 which number you choose to use is up to you, anyway pluto is 1/455 the size of earth and 1/5.5 the mass so 5.5 x 5.5/ 455= .07 -- Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau! "What happened in here?" " Seems to have been a bit of a squabble." "They're all dead!" " More of a tif then." |

| reply to StumpMan I would like to see a UI toggle to join group. And it will find the nearest by people with the closest quest progression, and toss them into a group with each other. Then say every 20 or 30 mins it will warn people then it will remake the groups to better fit quest progession and location. If someone drops group, then instant refill. And have a very easy vote to kick. Being kicked from these groups is no big deal, if someone afk's because of what ever, they get vote to kicked and everyone goes on about their business.
Just a thought. |

 | reply to StumpMan Mass is the amount of matter in an object; mass can be neither created nor destroyed, but can only change form. Weight is dependent on gravity (weight = mass*g, where g = acceleration due to gravity); a paperweight will always have the same mass, but its weight will vary depending on location (Earth vs moon vs Mars vs deep space, etc). Mass is measured in kilograms; weight is measured (usually) in pounds. The density of an object should also be independent of gravity, since density = mass/volume, not weight/volume. (This assumes the object's volume is constant.) ... Any other science/measurement/unit questions, feel free to forward them my way.

And, for what it's worth, not a huge fan of the whole CRZ thing. Good idea, but implementation was a complete Charlie Foxtrot. |
