Rich
Time wanner Cable added a 2nd line here they had to use RG11 cable since it's a long run 200-300ft. The main house had a run from the pole in the back yard. that pole is about 500ft from where the 2nd drop is so it was ideal to run a new line from the closer pole.

Thanks
If home 1 and home 2 share a drop, and home 2 canceled cable service, you can almost guarantee that the drop will be disconnected & home 1 would lose service until someone comes out to reconnect it (they can submit a "go back" request for the completed job on that account). However, it's easier for all parties involved going forward if each has their own drop, especially if the equipment is not near each other.
THIs is not ture
A retarded contractor disconnected the wrong line. we got a month credit out of it though »
[TWC] dumb TWC contractorsthe RG6 line was damaged( "messenger wire" was damaged) so much they had to run a new line it dropped, about 8ft off the ground
but they did upgrade it with rg11. because it had a larger/stronger "messenger wire" since our area has high winds
