Now 6 Channels but SNR dive

Went from 4 channels at 40 dB each to 6 channels at 35.5 dB? Getting packet loss now too. Shouldn't the 6 channels have improved things not degrade? Thanks.

If you're talking about Downstream I think that's fine, what does your Upstream look like?

What is the power on that?

SNR is best over 30, higher is better but might work well with even as low as 25 at times.

Currently my SNR is the same as yours (downloading is working like a dream) and I'm getting packet loss but that is due to my Upstream having a power level of 57.(They are still trying to fix this issue, been getting the run around since September 27th)

But yeah the problem might be your Upstream.

Upstream is 43.9 right now for each of the four channels, thanks.

What are the signal levels on the downstream channels? 35dB SNR is fine and shouldn't cause packet loss.

If your modem has it, also post the number of Total Octets/packets vs the number of Uncorrectable errors/octets/packets for all the channels.
