[Connectivity] Slow speed and loss of service since march of 201
I have been having a problem where I lose service or it starts to lag so bad i can't use the service I have since march of 2012. Several suddenlink repairmen have been to the house and none of them can fix the problem. They told me it was the modem, which was only a year old docsys3 motorolla modem, so i bought a new one. Same problem. They told me it was my router which was also about a year old, so i bought a linksys EA350. Same problem.The repairman told me to call him next time it happened and he would come out and take a look while the problem was going on. He spent 4 hours at my house and after jacking with my modem and router told me my router was messed up because he could no longer connect to it. I am paying for a 50Mbps connection. he told me the laptop he brought with him could'nt handle that speed. I'm thinking to myself you know i have a 50Mbps connection why would you bring it. Anyway, i call the suddenlink tech support guy on the phone, he resets the modem from his end and everything is working again. If i try to reset the modem myself it never works, it will only reset if i call and have them do it over the phone. The repairman got on the phone and spoke to the guy asking what he did differently, then left saying "man that blows me away". I appreciate the guy coming out on sunday but man i need someone that knows what they are doing to fix this problem. I'm about at the end of my rope with suddenlink. i'm giving them a month and if it isnt fixed i'm cancelling all services with them and going with the slower dsl. This has already cost me well over $300 from me buying things that i'm told are the problem, and it still isnt fixed. This is ridiculous!
