Strap to carry a 500mm F/4L lens?

I recently acquired a Canon 500mm F/4L lens. (Still debating whether I want to sell it for a profit or keep it)

I was wondering; is there a strap type product made that would ease carrying this? The lens is surprisingly hand-holdable, but is not so fun to hold for long periods of time.

It should have come with a strap, but an OP/TECH strap would work fine

It did come with a strap, but it doesn't seem like that substantial of a strap.

I was hoping there was some good third-party system to make carrying the lens easier.

You're worried about it breaking or the comfort of it? I can tell you from experience that strap is extremely strong...nothing to worry about. If you're going for comfort look at OP/Tech

I have an OP/TECH attached to mine, but rarely carry it from the strap. If it's not attached to a monopod over my shoulder, I usually just carry it from the lens foot.

I used to carry around the Nikon version of this lens, I would put it on a monopod and throw it over my shoulder like you see the guys doing for golf or football.
