I think you are being paranoid. Both our cars take 5 quarts and I buy oil in a 5.1 liter bottle.

After I change the oil in both our cars the oil level is 1/4 inch above the full mark. I never give it a second thought.

The five liter bottle is a pain in the ass. If I spill a drop or two, wipe it off as best as you can and forget about it.
