Re: Super Nintendo is 19 years old (and still works). I have my wife's original NES in a closet, still in the original packaging, with the duck hunt guns and the track meet mat. It was used quite a bit, but they kept everything and put it back in the box when it was retired. It's been a couple years, but we did break it out to play some original Mario Brothers some time ago, and it worked flawlessly.
Yeah, the fact that there's no moving parts helps quite a bit.
