[Caps] Where the heck did the usage meter go?

I wanted to check to see how much data I've used up in this billing cycle. They changed everything around and I simply cannot, after 15 minutes, find the usage meter, and when I do a search for "usage meter" it brings up nothing. What do they want us to do, run over and owe them? Very annoyed!

Unless you live in one of the locations where bandwidth cap trials are being run, Comcast probably just no longer provides the usage meter since there are no caps.

For example, I do not have access to a usage meter for my business class account simply because there is not cap on business class accounts. I would assume that the same principle would apply to residential accounts where the customer's usage is currently not capped.

The meter has moved after another needless rearrangement.

Click on 'Manage equipment' on the row of icons near the bottom. You'll see an 'Equipment' column on the far right. There will be a usage bar under your current modem.

On mine, it still shows my old modem.

They changed the layout.

Go to my services and on the right side you'll see the usage mater under your modem.

I found the key to success but somebody changed the lock.

Nope, wrong on both counts. andyross, it shows my modem but NO usage meter. Alcohol, it doesn't show there either.

Thanks guys. I wonder if the deliberately removed it for some reason? I have no idea what my usage is. Very irritating that they removed it, how can I stay below the cap if I don't know where I am at? OTOH, I don't want to call attention to it either.

@optonline.net

There are no caps.

* - only in a few areas like Nashville where they are testing out a new cap system (maybe other areas) have a cap. Everywhere else is WIDE OPEN!

Mines under the services tab also.

The graphic is a little different. See attached jpeg file.

edit 10/18/12 9:21 PM :

If you click on detail (under bar graph) it will bring up the month by month summary graph. In my case is only shows a couple of days data for Sept. and the Oct. data (1-18th) since I installed a new modem in the last days of Sept. . Apparently the data is "tagged" to the modems MAC address !!

huh I just looked at mine, I have three usage meters

One for the current eMTA, one for my old SB6120 modem and one for a MAC that is actually a cablecard device on my connection, no idea how that happened but my SB6120 has been disconnected for 7 months now, and it's showing "usage" eh?

I think I'd be calling or asking someone in the direct forum to check into the unused one.
Whether it's linked to the wrong modem, or imaginary usage, they need to correct it BEFORE it becomes a problem for you.

I found the meter, but see two modems on there.
One was a zoom modem I replaced a couple months ago. It doesn't show any usage on it.
It does show the MAC address.
I e-mailed Comcast so will see what comes of it.

Same here. It shows all my equipment but no usage meter. Haven't had one for a long while. I track it on my router though. I don't get anywhere near the old caps though so no matter.
