What region are you in? Sounds like it's on a location-by-location basis and this region's equipment may be different or require some other changes?

Also, what modem are you using?

I am in Antioch,CA and I am using Motorola SB6120 SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 eXtreme Broadband Cable Modem.
