How to change ip on cisco router?

Hi guys, I got the Cisco DPC3825. Tried leaving it off for 8 hours but I got the same ip. I know shaw gives us 2 ip's but it seems like it keeps deaulting on this one. Is it possible to change it?

Thank you

BTW I did try changing my mac address but the problem is the router has a MAC of it's own.

Thanks

You need to put your modem into bridge mode to use both IPs

The modem in router mode, will only use the one IP, and you are not able to force a different IP.

In bridge mode, you can use your own router, or just two computers directly connected and use both IPs.
