I do not have it for PC, but I do have it for 360, where I 1000/1000 the achievements for it. The game is just that much fun. Highly recommended for people that like GTA and want something that is not as focused on guns.

Sounds great! I've been told the port is pretty good.

Bought it at it's release to Steam and ended up regretting it. After playing only 30 minutes of actual play time outside of the cinema scenes, I gave up in frustration.

I like to buy games to play them. I don't like watching polygons pretending that they can act.

EDIT: It wouldn't have been so bad if you could skip the cinema crap but in this one, you can't.

I know what you mean, too much scenes and lengthy... When I first came across these guys on top of a building roof and had to kill this one guy and cops arrested me (at beginning of game) it was hard, i could not get one hit in.. I dont like games like this: where you keep getting killed or you need to get past a certain part but you can't so you come back to it later and still can't, its no fun

What issue did you have, diablo? Countering is a huge part of the combat in the game and the timing is off compared to say, Batman: AA or AC, but still not too bad to learn the timing of it.

The scenes are just as bad as in max payne 3, however i dont dislike max payne 3, that game is awesome.. the scenes are lengthy if worse in SD you don't go and buy a game that's full off long scenes all through it.. You wanna actually play it instead of watching it as if it were a movie, if theres a game thats been made with say hours long scenes and multiple kinds then why call it a "game"? its more like called a movie with action/play scenes every once in a great while.

Another thing is i found the fighting controls to be a little hard to use, are you gonna pay for a game that you can only fight by pressing every single key on the keyboard or 360 controller? pff not me.. I wanna learn the controls but i don't wanna have to press nearly evey key/button to make a move/fight scene to kick someones a$$ and accomplish the mission or tip in the right side top of screen.

I downloaded the demo version of SD and I could'nt figure out how to get past the boss where you beat up all the chineese guys first then take down the boss on top of a roof. I tried everything but still continued to die, the first time i made it to this part my current gameplay was around only 30 minutes.. Once i finally got this boss/guy beat and police finally arrived, my current gameplay time was 2 hours.. That is ridiculous. The GFX look only half terrible but they can be improved much.

My rattings (on scale of 1 - 10):
GFX:7
fun:5
Gamepley experience:2

The game can be much improved.. I once played saints row the third, absolutely hated this game. I thought it was a GTA game but come to find out that it was'nt, not even close.. GFX were close to SD GFX but Gameplay experience for me is:0 and fun:1

I believe everyone has a totally different taste for gaming.. I remember when i first discovered RTS games, never again will i buy another RTS game. If you wanna talk about extremely hard controls go look for GTA san andreas (pc version) the flying part when you learn, I must had tried passing that part for an entire day, I never gotten to get up, or eat all day till i eventually passed the test, sadly i never got past it so i gave up that night and ever since then i never played GTA SA on pc.. However this part is kind of easier in ps2 version.. I don't know if many of you like buying/spending money on something that has hard controls but i know i wont be. The controls setup in GTA SA are very hard to setup, its as if they get erased after i save them and then restart game and all them go back to default.

Once my last few favorite games come out (witch is soon) then i will be done with new released games, the games now days are completely different, for instance COD black ops, the game uses your entire GFX card no matter what kind.. with COD games (same here again as said earlier in this post) they have scenes in the game where its a movie instead of a game, the gameplay is alright but the fun i see is:0. I bought COD MW3 last year and quickly got it installed and played it and already beat it within 1 hour.. After I got done playing I was depressed of the game and wanted to send it back so bad.

My main/biggest thing with games lately is how they play.. I have satellite witch means i cannot host games and if i were to play across my connection it would lag by 2 or 3 entire seconds. I recently bought the game called shootmania storm and it does'nt have singleplayer (SP) so i have to play MP mode in hosting only.. The first time i tried out joining servers did not bother me much so i bought it and then really put MP in use by playing it for more than an hour, after a little while i started getting sick and wanted to throw up so bad so i just quit.. Now i can't play even 30 minutes into MP without feeling sick and having the urge of wanting to quit.. Why do games have to be played across your connection and/or network is for security reasons, what happens is the data gets sent from you computer, to the game network then bounces back to you, this is a huge issue for me cause 90% of everything (all data) gets sent back and forth meaning 90% of everything is lag. When using internet by satellite, the data has to usually travel 80,00 miles into the sky and then back down to earth.. There is no other internet provider options for me so don't say: "just switch to another provider" cause i live in the country and there is nothing here and moving is completely impossible for this time.

I may be asking you to repeat yourself, but are you using a gamepad or keyboard and mouse? I was getting pretty annoyed with the Keyboard, so I switched to a joystick and it immediately improved the whole thing.

For only a quarter of my games i use the xbox 360 controller.. Since our two xbox 360 consoles blew up, what would be the use of just letting them lay around for no reason except for to look at in the collector's case.. Games like limbo, closure, fallout 3 and new vegas (certain parts throughout game) dead space 1 & 2, metro 2033, warhammer 40K space marine, trackmania 2 canyon, elder scrolls skyrim 5, borderlands 1 & 2, and sleeping dogs (certain parts of game) is good for the 360 controller.

I remember we use to use a very old computer controller(2) in the 90's that was so much fun, we played resident evil 2, that game rocks and i think some on the neverhood. Those were the times... I don't ever see me using one of those giant joysticks that look like a gear shifter from a manual vehicle, unless i were to play mario cart then i would use it. BTW (by the way) my xbox 360 controller is wired not wireless. Its possible to use a wireless but i'm not postive how to, sorry.

It would be nice if we could be able to use all remote controllers on our pc's but i am affraid this is not true as of yet atleast but if it were then it would be called a universal plug and play converter or something along those lines. anyway hope i helpped some how, your very welcome.. have a good evening/morning

Hrmmm, I never had an issue with the fighting, but again, I played on my 360.

If I remember correctly, the fight you are talking about isn't even a true boss fight. It is just one of the missions as you go along in the story. With that particular fight, you wait for the guy (he is bald and has a thin mustache using a knife, correct?) to attack and you just counterattack him, which then opens him up for a few hits. Rinse and repeat.

I dont know how I did it but i know for sure that i am not going to pay for a game where the game requires you to use every single finger to beat the mission and continue on ward or accomplish the tip given.. I was nearly to give up, it was as though i was listening to the same joke being said over and over and no one likes that cause it gets tiring after just a little bit.

It is annoying that you cannot skip scenes, but most of them are very well done (good voice acting and the character interplay/development with some of your "crew" gets you engaged).

As for the controls, many games that are being ported have terrible keyboard/mouse placement, but excel when you just had a controller, especially with the 360's controller.

You mean the controls layout? Yes, I totally agree and like i mentioned earlier some games will not accept and save your custom made controls, i don't know why.

As you mentioned in your first paragraph, last post/reply, Max payne 3 has a very dirty habit of not letting the player skip scnens, it says: "Loading..." at bottom left side of screen but is it really actually loading? no its not however it is rendering the GFX FOR the scene but not the game or next action/play scene.. this makes the score of fun look poor, cause your sitting there waiting patiently for it to load but the only thing that is really loading is the GFX render. This don't give me a reason to hate the game however there are columns witch have a lot of scenes, one starts and then is quickly done, another starts and then is quickly done (repeat) this annoys the heck out of me.

It could be worse... it could be 15 minute long cutscenes (looks at Xenosaga).

What's worse is you can't remove those cutscenes especially if its a game under steam.. With steam, if you even remove one file from steam's dir. file then steam will replace it with another or steam will say this game cannot be played at this time.

I rather enjoyed Xenosaga's cur scenes. :\

Plus you could skip them if you got tired or got killed and had to replay.
