Re: Process to switch to voip phone? Does anyone know if voip.ms has any charges for using your own ATA device? I know freephoneline.ca does ($50 for a "VOIP Unlock key"), but I don't see any mention of anything similar on the voip.ms site. |

They don't sell the hardware, so, no, and even if they did, I don't think they'd lock down the ATAs and then charge the customer $50 for the unlock key, when you can buy a brand new unlocked ATA for less than that. |

As you noted some voip providers lock down the config of the adapter they supply to you but voipms is a bring your own device provider. I connect/register a voip server to them - very simple. |
