In the end it will all depend on the developers. Despite strong Wii console sales, the software sales have been consistently weaker than the other consoles with the exception of 1st party (Nintendo) games. The games will make or break the Wii U. Nintendo has historically not done a good job of being pro-developers. Along with the closure of Nintendo Power, I would imagine Wii U game sales are going to be weak.
