Re: how to change text color in Firefox on laptop w/win7?

Computer Properties says the laptop is an HP Pavilion G6 notebook PC even though it is a full size wide screen laptop.

Computer Properties says the Processor is an AMD A6 3420M APU with Radeon HD Graphics.

Device Manager says the Display driver is AMD Radeon 6420G and that the driver is up to date. (I tried to update it, but got a message that it is already "up to date".

Driver version is shown to be 8.900.7.1000 dated 9-28-2011.

I don't know how to disable clear type in Windows 7 and don't recall how to post images here or I'd post and image of the full tab that shows the above information.

This is how to adjust clear type in Win7.

Open Windows Control Panel and you will see the Display button.

Click it then look to the left and you will see Adjust Clear type Text option.

Click that and then uncheck the box to use Clear Type.

Okay, thanks. Got that now. Here's an update with good news.

1) Clear type is on. Turning clear type off made it worse.

2) We found a feature in Windows7 accessibility options to "increase contrast". Checking that box made it much better. We can live with the all blue text now.

Thanks again to all who helped and offered suggestions.

This is much better now.
